Sammanfattning
The article describes the meaning Green Care can have for young people who are at risk of social exclusion. We interviewed 14 young people from 16 to 27 years of age at six different facilities. Central to the study is how the 'green' could strengthen important recovery factors such as hope, coping, meaning and dignity. The ability of the facility’s leader to create a positive group atmosphere was important here as in other therapeutic activities. In addition, adolescents emphasised the importance of time to talk, contact with animals, self-chosen tasks, caring for animals and other persons, group cohesion and the tranquility of nature.
