Sammanfattning

This study is an evaluation of a municipal Housing First (HF) program. The program offers assertive community treatment to persons with dual disorders. One of the principles in HF is harm reduction. The aim is to reduce negative consequences related to addiction. There are no criteria for abstinence. Two focus group interviews were conducted. A qualitative content analysis of the transcriptions resulted in three themes: a holistic view on harm reduction, importance of therapeutic relations and supporting safe housing. The study concludes that harm reduction in HF can contribute to a more stable everyday life.
