Sammanfattning

The NAV reform from 2006 highlights the relation between supervisor and users in the rehabilitation process and return to work. The study investigates female users’ experiences of the collaboration and relationship with NAV supervisors in the rehabilitation process. Eight women were interviewed using qualitative interviews. The study draws on Honneth’s theory of recognition. The findings illuminate that the women attach great importance to the supervisors in the process of rehabilitation. Emotional meetings are described in polarized terms, characterized by rejection or care, feeling either like a burden or a resource. Recognition seems vital in the women’s rehabilitation process.
