Sammanfattning

High unemployment rates among persons with mental health problems/suffering is a general concern, and clubhouses aim to contribute their members’ finding employment. The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of unemployment among clubhouse members, the proportion of unemployed members who wanted employment, and factors associated with wanting employment. Ninety-four members completed the survey, of which 79.8 % were unemployed. Of those not employed, 57.8 % wanted employment. Higher age group was associated with lower chance of wanting a job. There is a continued gap between low employment rates and high rates of work desire among clubhouse members.
