Sammanfattning
A 69-year-old man had muscle pain in the neck region and progressing symmetric paresis in the shoulder musculature. Examination of the cerebrospinal fluid showed positive IgM and IgG Borrelia . The patient was treated with antibiotics and recovered completely. The symptoms are uncommon for neuroborreliosis and emphasise the importance of exclusion of neuroborreliosis in patients with uncharacteristic neurological symptoms.
