Recurrent appendicitis is a rare condition. Following the advent of laparoscopic surgery, however, its incidence may be increasing as a result of incomplete resection of the appendix. We present the seventh known case of stump appendicitis after laparoscopic appendectomy and recommend techniques to ensure identification of the appendix base.
