Radiofrequency ablation for atrial fibrillation can cause pulmonary vein stenosis leading to longstanding hemoptysis, cough and dyspnea. An increase in the incidence of this type of hemoptysis can be exspected. This should be taken into account in the general evaluation of patients seeking attention for these symptoms. One case is discussed.
