Sammanfattning
The article presents a study of health promoting policy and practice at the major hospitals in Stockholm County. A structured questionnaire was sent to the 7 major hospitals in the county. Information on health promotion in organisation and external contacts, clinical practice and staff management was collected. The study showed that health promotion targeted at the staff was the strongest of the three areas investigated, whereas policy, support systems and guidelines were lacking, in spite of strong interest and ongoing projects. We noted a considerable potential for improvement in the areas of health promotion at the organisational level and in clinical practice.
