Sammanfattning
We compared the effects on glycaemic control of two different exercise protocols in elderly men with type 2-diabetes; one 30-minute session per day (1 × 30) and three 10-minute sessions per day (3 × 10). Cardiopulmonary fitness increased in both groups. Improvement in glycaemic control was only found in the 3 × 10 group. A likely explanation is that the total energy expenditure during training performed as multiple sessions is higher than the expenditure achieved during a single session per day.
