Sammanfattning

Social inequity has recently been claimed by WHO to be one of the most important factors for poor health and premature death. This is particularly true when considering the health of women and children. Interventions to improve public health must therefore strive to decrease social disparities. However, today many health interventions tend to increase inequity, something that needs to be taken into consideration when designing future efforts to improve public health.
