Sammanfattning

In this case-report we describe a 57 year old man with well-controlled asthma. At a crayfish party he suddenly developed a severe cough and subsequently increasing asthma symptoms. Over the next nine weeks he sought medical advice seven times due to dyspnea. After acute treatment with bronchodilators his breathing was normalised every time. Chest X-ray was performed twice during the period and was normal both times. Eventually, he also developed very bad breath. When finally referred for bronchoscopy, a crayfish claw was found in the left main bronchus. After removal of the claw all breathing problems as well as his halitosis disappeared.
