Monochorionic (MC) twin pregnancies are known of having an increased risk of complications, e.g. selective growth retardation, intrauterine fetal death and malformations. 10-15 % of MC twin pregnancies develop twin-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), due to an unbalanced flow through placental anastomoses, and results in contrary haemodynamic changes in the donor and recipient twin. TTTS is associated with poor perinatal outcome. In Sweden, we now have a decade\'s experience of treating TTTS with fetoscopic lasercoagulation with a 75 % survival at birth.
