Sammanfattning

The article describes ethical issues addressed in medical priority setting i an international aid project in Bosnia and Kosovo. Aside from ethical principles other, sometimes irrational factors influenced day to day decisions. The effort to provide advanced medical services to as many individuals as possible within the economic limitations of the project led to an increasingly structured work method, similar to open priority settings developed within the regional Swedish health care system.
