Blodtrycksmätning hemma lika bra som på mottagning.
Sammanfattning
The results from the SBU assessment on home blood pressure monitoring show that home monitoring is equally effective as office monitoring when it comes to guiding antihypertensive treatment. A prerequisite is that validated devices are used and that monitoring is performed according to recognized protocols. Systematic use of home blood pressure monitoring e.g. within primary care would probably save costs in health care in the long term, and for selected patients home monitoring may be a valuable tool in the management of hypertension.
