Kollagen colitis som årsag til kronisk diarre hos tiårigt barn
Sammanfattning
Collagenous colitis (CC) is a rare condition in children with less than seven previously reported cases. The clinical manifestations are chronic or recurrent non-bloody watery diarrhoea and abdominal pain. CC is characterized by a macroscopically normal colonic mucosa, but microscopically by a thickening of the subepithelial collagen layer and intraepithelial lymphocyte infiltration. We report a case of a ten-year-old girl in whom colonoscopy with biopsies showed signs of CC. The child responded well to treatment with oral budesonide.
