Sammanfattning
Gastric volvulus is a rare but life-threatening emergency that requires prompt recognition and treatment. We describe two cases with mesenteroaxial and organoaxial gastric volvulus respectively. Gastric volvulus is an important cause of nonbilious emesis, abdominal pain and distension in the pediatric population, and characteristic radiographic findings might not be recognized. Upper gastrointestinal studies are the gold-standard in case of suspicion. Gastropexy is the key to definitive treatment.
