Sammanfattning
Long-term non-malignant pain from the locomotive system and generalised pain are common health problems, leading to absence from work and causing huge costs for the society. There is evidence that multimodal rehabilitation can lead to reduced influence of pain and increased work ability. Multimodal rehabilitation is often performed in rehabilitation clinics, where patients from sparsely populated areas must stay away from social environment. Rehabilitation of these patients could be easier if rehabilitation facilities were located closer to their homes. In Sweden, there is a political ambition that rehabilitation teams should be formed in primary health care. Different kinds of education programs are used. The results of this project suggest that team-based assessment by specialised pain teams performed together with primary care staff seems to be a valuable way of transferring knowledge in teamwork.
