Sammanfattning

Re-designing Everyday Occupations (ReDO) is an intervention devised for the purpose of work rehabilitation among women on long-term sick leave (> 2 months) for stress-related disorders. The end goal is return to work. The aim of the intervention is to provide the clients with tools for analyzing and dealing with problems related to the activities of everyday life as a whole. The core idea is that by restructuring one’s occupational lifestyle a healthier and more manageable balance between everyday activities/occupations will be accomplished. The ReDO method has been evaluated in comparison to routine rehabilitation monitored by the Social Insurance Offices (42 + 42 clients). At 12 months after completed rehabilitation more women had returned to work and the sick-leave rate was lower among the ReDO women compared to the routine rehabilitation group.
