Sammanfattning

Hyperhidrosis is a social, emotional and occupational handicap that affects 2.8 % of the population. Most of the sufferers have the primary genetic form of hyperhidrosis. Secondary hyperhidrosis is most often excluded by a few anamnestic data, but sometimes further examinations must be performed. Botulinum toxin and modern anticholinergics are the treatment of choice if aluminium chloride is insufficient or not applicable. Examination- and treatment logarithms are presented in this review, as well as the influence of hyperhidrosis on quality of life.
