Sammanfattning
A study was conducted in Stockholm County Council in autumn 2011. The objective was to explore how the use of ICF Core Sets affect the physician’s description of activity limitations and what impact a web-based ICF-tool could have in this regard. Four physicians at three medical centers selected to test the electronic sickness certificate were recruited. The physicians went through a ICF-training and had access to the web-based ICF-tool integrated into the electronic sickness certificate during six weeks. Separate interviews with physicians and administrators at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency followed. The material was analyzed by a qualitative content analysis. The analysis showed that ICF can provide support for physicians in the description of activity limitations. Future studies are recommended.
