MR-skanning bidrager til at udrede årsager til fosterdöd
Sammanfattning
Post-mortem MRI of foetuses contributes to clarify the causes of deathDuring the past years the autopsy rate of stillborn and perinatally dead children in Denmark has decreased. This lowers the possibility to identify cause of death and associated pathology. Studies evaluating the value of post-mortem magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of foetuses have been conducted during the last years. However, in Denmark post mortem MRI of foetuses is rarely used. The purpose of this study is therefore to identify whether post-mortem MRI examinations are able to reproduce or even specify findings made by ultrasound or autopsy.
