Sammanfattning
Turner syndrome (TS) is a sex chromosome aberration and occurs in 1/2 500 live born girls. TS is characterized by short stature, ovarian failure and often cardiac defects. Aortic dissections are one of the most important causes of mortality in young women with TS. Pregnancies in women with TS are rare, but have increased owing to oocyte donation. Pregnancies in general in women with TS are to be considered as high risk, mostly because of the increased risk of aortic complications. The obstetric outcomes after oocyte donation in women with TS are in general good, but with an accompanying high risk of hypertensive disorders. The neonatal outcome is reassuring. Pregnancies in women with TS should be monitored and carefully followed up. A centralized cardiovascular assessment before pregnancy is mandatory.
