Hvordan kan patientrapporterede oplysninger (PRO) bruges i klinisk praksis? - belyst med
udgangspunkt i fire forskellige konsultationsmodeller
Sammanfattning
The aim of the study is to identify mechanisms from the use of patient reported outcome
measures (PRO) related to patient and organization. The article is based on a review of 24 studies of
PRO relating experience to four theoretical forms of consultations: the paternalistic, the partnership,
the consumer, and the autonomous consultation. The study argue that PRO can be used with success
on the basis of different ideas about the roles of patients and health care professionals, but it
presupposes an explicit decision about which roles a PRO-system has as a starting point. PRO-
system must also keep in mind if it’s primarily strength should be at the consultation level or at an
aggregated organizational level. When PRO systems has an intention to be used at consultation
level, PRO must both fulfil claims of general validity and reliability and also perceived usefulness
experienced from patients and healthcare professionals. When PRO-systems moves from a
traditional paternalistic approach, the patient experience can change from a passive supplier from
which the professionals can collect predefined facts, to something that can empower and involve
patients in challenging the health care professional’s monopoly on research, where knowledge are
created interactive and real-time.
