Korte eller lange aermer. En kort redegörelse for en land debat
Sammanfattning
Occasionally, guidelines concerning infection hygiene and dress code collide when medical
employees' views of appropriate attire contradicts guidelines for the prevention of contamination in
clinical work. Guidelines are based on the best available evidence on the topic and are thus an
expression of the scientific data existing for a topic. Hygiene and infection guidelines build upon
knowledge about reservoir formation and contamination. Implementation and compliance take place
at both an organisational level and an individual level. Guidelines are observed if they make sense
for the individual. Herein lies the challenge.
