Sammanfattning

"UIV" is a structured interview that follow-up interventions for adults with addiction. It is used in social services and has as its primary focus, to gain knowledge of the quality of the interventions, from a user perspective. In the present study we examined whether clients of different sexes as well as their social workers differ in their assessment of the quality of the interventions. Moreover, we investigated the validity and the reliability of the interview with a special focus whether the answers could be summed together and used as pooled measures of quality. The results showed that women estimated to a greater extent that they had been helped to get control of their addiction, their spare-time and their everyday living. The results of the validity and reliability analyses showed that it was only some issues that could be summed up into user’s measures of quality. The instrument appears the cover many relevant questions about the quality of interventions, but focus should be on the parts of the instrument with the best psychometric properties.
