Sammanfattning
There are approximately 33 000 occupational therapists in the
United Kingdom (UK), working in a variety of health and social
care services. They work in inpatient units in hospitals, community
settings such as people’s homes, day care facilities as well as residential
and nursing homes. Occupational therapists work with
people who have physical problems, mental health problems and
learning disabilities across all age groups - and approximately 70
percent work in Government funded posts (1).
