The underlying structure of process evaluation and the predictors of employees’ satisfaction
with a salutogenic intervention was assessed by using factor analysis and hierarchical multiple
regression analysis. An organization’s management initiated an intervention to improve the
psychosocial work environment in an employeeship program. 171 employees in the economy and
real estate unit of the organization were surveyed. Seven interviews were conducted to develop a
further understanding of the intervention process. Two process factors (communication and
leadership) were significantly associated to the level of employee satisfaction with the intervention,
after controlling for gender, personality, engagement, and commitment. Thus, both the richness of
communication and the roles of leadership influenced participants’ appraisal of the intervention, and
we were able to explain a broader scope of implementation factors that give a better understanding of
the process part of interventions
