Sammanfattning
Hypertension is one of the most important modifiable risk factors for cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Physical inactivity plays a
role in the development of (essential) hypertension. Increased physical activity may decrease the blood pressure in hypertensive individuals
with 12/5 mm Hg (evidence grade +++ according to GRADE). A moderate/vigorous-intensity aerobic physical activity, at least 3 x 40-60
minutes/week, for 8 weeks, has the strongest evidence (evidence grade +++). Isometric (static) training may also decrease the blood pressure
significantly (evidence grade ++).
