Veiledet internettbehandling for mild og moderat depresjon: En pilotstudie
Sammanfattning
ntroduction: Depression is estimated to be a leading cause for burden of disease in 2020.
Internet-based treatment is suggested as a way to increase access to psychological treatment for
persons with mild and moderate depression.
Methods: In this pilot study we recruited 22 participants with mild or moderate depression. We
wanted to examine the effects of guided Internet-based treatment on a group and individual level. We
also examined to what extent the treatment effects were affected by the transfer from the developers
in Sweden to Norway.
Results: Large effects were found both on a group and an individual level. The proportion of
participants with moderate depression was reduced from 68 % before treatment to 21 % after
treatment. None of the participants deteriorated.
Limitations: The results must be interpreted with caution as we did not have a control group and had
few participants in the trial. However, the results are nearly identical to the results reported in
controlled and larger studies from the developers in Sweden.
Conclusion: This study indicates that guided internet-based treatment for persons with mild and
moderate depression is effective on a group and individual level. The next step is to study the effects
of this treatment in secondary mental health care services
