Sammanfattning
A working life with continuous rapid change and strong competition as distinctive features, calls
for robust organizations and employees with the ability to face these challenges. In the current article
we address this need by highlighting recent research on countervailing interventions and discusses
how such interventions can enhance and develop workplace environment and so to speak build
organizational muscles within this area. In contrast to traditional organizational interventions,
countervailing interventions have their main focus on positive transformations as well as
developments in organizations. Research on countervailing interventions gives important
contributions in understanding the need for new ways to meet challenges related to workplace
environment as well as it represents adequate tools to handle these challenges
