Sammanfattning
This article presents a 51 year old female with a radiolucency with a diameter of about 2 cm
around the roots of tooth 36. It was originally diagnosed as radicular cyst, but during the operation no
cyst lumen or liquid was found. A number of differential diagnoses were assessed. Based on clinical,
radiological and histopathological findings the lesion was diagnosed as a central ossifying fibroma.
This is a rare benign tumour which is well demarcated and should only be removed with curettage.
Follow up is recommended.
