Sammanfattning
The article is based on a study carried out by a Norwegian University College. The study
examined student assistant’s safety and possible influence factors in the guidance of nursing
students. The article be concentrated around student assistants need support, guidance
and the strengthening of expertise. It was used structured questionnaire to the collection of
data about their experience of peace of mind in the student assistant role. Respondents
were given the opportunity to register the descriptive data as well. The study highlights a
tendency about student assistants that have great advantage of working two or more
together in instructional situations. They describe positive experiences of collaboration
with other student assistants and with the teaching staff. Available subjects’ employees
mentioned by student assistants in several contexts in terms of confidence in the role. This
is emphasized by the preparation for the guidance of fellow students, to the discussion
along the way and in the aftermath. They consider knowledge of and experience with educational
methods, as a great advantage. Professional safety within nursing related topics
strengthens their confidence in the student assistant role.
