Sammanfattning
The purpose of the study was to examine whether welfare technology can provide a subjective experience of increased confidence and independence in recipients of health and social services living in at home. The study took place in two municipalities of Norway, which participated in the national welfare technology program (DNV). They collaborated on the project “Safe Home”. The municipalities tested out various welfare technological solutions for the elderly and people with different disabilities. We conducted semi-structured interviews with participants in the project when they had been using welfare technology for a period. The results show that most participants were satisfied with the technology, got increased mobility, felt safer and more independent.
