Sammanfattning
This article presents an analysis of the project Team Agera. The project is
part of the Swedish Public Health Agency’s (Folkhälsomyndigheten) national
program for supporting children in families with substance abuse problems,
mental health problems and violence. Team Agera is an inter-professional
extended pupil-health intervention. The purpose is to offer services normally
provided by Social Services, in order to increase the accessibility of support
to children and families focusing on 1) children in families with substance
abuse problems, mental health problems and where domestic violence occurs,
and 2) children with mental health problems. By focusing on preventative
work the aim is to identify children and families in need of support at an
early stage and, to a greater extent than otherwise possible. In the article
specific focus is directed to the question: Does the work of Team Agera offer
increased potential for working in the so-called “grey zone” that is constituted
by parents and children who would otherwise fall through the gaps in the
system, or, alternatively, would not gain access to support until long after the
need has arisen?
