Personlighetsfungering som diagnostisk kriterium. Hva er empirisk status?
Sammanfattning
Personality functioning is a central concept in the DSM-5 Alternative Model for Personality Disorder (AMPD) in defining personality pathology. The aim of the current literature review was to investigate the empirical status of personality functioning as defined in the DSM-5 Section III. Sixteen empirical studies on the AMPD were found. These studies indicate that personality functioning can be separated from general function and normal personality traits. However, measures of personality function and maladaptive traits overlap substantially. In conclusion, there is currently little but promising empirical research on the AMPD, but there is a need for longitudinal research using well-defined patient groups and clinical interviews.
