Reliability of normalised truncated navicular height in assessment of static foot posture in children (6–12 years)
Sammanfattning
Objective: To investigate the reliability of normalised truncated navicular height (NTNH) as a clinical
measure of static foot posture in children.
Methods: A cross-sectional study of a random sample of 300 school-aged children 6–12 years with
mean ± SD of (9.44 ± 1.76) years. Two raters independently recoded the NTNH for each participant.
Intrarater and interrater reliability of NTNH was assessed using intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC).
Results: NTNH demonstrated excellent intrarater reliability (ICC ¼ 0.98–0.99) and interrater reliability
(ICC ¼ 0.98).
Conclusion: NTNH is a simple, quick and reliable clinical measure for static foot posture in the
paediatric population.
