Sammanfattning

Background: Nursing students collaborate on campus in different learning situations. Group collaboration is emphasized to solve academic issues and strengthen interaction skills with future nurses. It is desirable that bachelor students in nursing should experience collaboration with fellow students for inspiration. Several students are inspired creative collaboration with others on campus, while group work for some nursing students causes conflicts and frustrations. Purpose: The purpose of the study was investigating factors in the education program that promote motivation for learning among nursing students. This article concentrates on nursing students' experience with inspiration to learn more, linked to various opportunities for collaboration on campus. Method: A questionnaire with closed answer alternatives and statistical analysis. Result: Nursing students are encouraged to learn more in collaboration with fellow students on campus. The majority has also had a great deal of usefulness in teacher guidance for group work. A significant proportion of respondents are dependent on self-study to be inspired to learn more, and they want more time for self-study. Conclusion: It is recommended to vary learning methods in a way that facilitates individual work in combination with group work. It may be necessary to offer counseling by a professional teacher for academic challenges as well as for challenges associated with nursing student collaborations.
