Sammanfattning
The installation of dental implants is considered a suitable tooth replacement for patients missing one or more teeth. In this study, we have looked at implant survival outcome in patients who received implants at the Department for Oral Surgery and Oral medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Oslo in the time period from 1.1.2010 to 31.12.2012. The survey population consisted of 192 patients which in total had received 462 implants. Two of these implants in two patients failed. This provides an implant survival rate above 99.6 % at implant level and in 7.6 % of the implants, complications were seen. A systematic literature review revealed that our results appeared to be in line with others.
