It is not realistic to believe that a narrow group of problem specialists, given the cognitive constraints, in the complexity of modern industrial systems, will
be able to produce the knowledge necessary for sustainable solutions to be attained in the environmental area. Thus, an efficient dialogue over borders
is needed, and also an arrangement where at least the most important players from the market can participate in an attempt to also simulate the dynamics of the overall system. Moreover, since the systems of today change rapidly, experts will always lag behind. There appear, against this background,
to be no shortcuts available other than dialogues of the kind we aim for here.
