Sammanfattning
This study focuses on the barriers and opportunities around care that older people experience when they return home after a hospital stay. During the
interviews with the elderly, it was found that some elderly people received care from a project team, while others received support from regular home
care services in connection with and after returning from the hospital. The result shows that the elderly’s experience of receiving care from home care
or from the project differs markedly, among other things, depending on how flexible the care work is performed. Just over 35 years ago, the care researcher Wærness (1983) emphasized the importance of teamwork and flexible organization in order to give the elderly a good care. The study confirms
that care organization is important. Although it has been more than 35 years since Wærness emphasized the importance of flexible care work, the survey
shows that most of the interviewees lack it.
