The aim of the present study was to analyse whether preventive ergonomic measures at work places were more often undertaken after investigations performed by labour inspectors than at work places that had not been subject to such investigations, and if there was a difference between employers who had been requested to make such ergonomic improvements as written in an inspection notice, and those who had not.
