Sammanfattning
A case of idiopathic giant cell myocarditis (IGM) causing symptoms of left ventricular failure in a previously healthy 37-year-old man is reported. Sixteen months after the occurrence of the symptoms the patient was admitted to hospital with intractable cardiac arrest. Until this point he had been treated with different medications for left ventricular failure. The disease was finally diagnosed postmortem.
