X : Genotyping and quantification of hepatitis C virus is of importance in the assessment of prognosis and choice of treatment. We present the results from a study of 144 patients over two years in our hospital and point out the degree of uncertainty involved in the method of quantification. Doctors treating patients with hepatitis C should know the level of precision of the applied method.
