Kvinder og lungkraeft - epidemiologi, rygning og biologi
Sammanfattning
The incidence of lung cancer among women in Denmark has been increasing since the 1960s and is expected to increase further for the next 30 years, before it hopefully levels off as a result of the declining prevalence of smoking among Danish women. Several studies indicate that women might be more susceptible than men to the carcinogenic effect of smoking. This is a factor to be considered when planning prophylactic and diagnostic strategies against lung cancer.
