Sammanfattning
Complications of immunosuppressive therapy following organ transplantation consist of complications due to immunosuppression, such as increased frequency of infections and cancers, and specific side effects of the drugs used. New protocols aim to minimize the risk of infections and the development of malignant disease, without increasing rejection and without decreasing graft survival. At the same time, they aim to decrease side effects such as nephrotoxicity and cardiovascular risk factors.
