X : Cardiac rehabilitation has gradually been accepted as an important part of the management of patients after acute myocardial infarction and cardiac surgery. The paper describes indications, effects and mechanisms of physical importance concerning physical training in cardiac patients and gives an overview of some important studies on cardiac rehabilitation over the last 30 years, as well as practical advice concerning rehabilitation of heart patients.
