Sammanfattning
The Danish system of scientific ethical committees consists of the Danish Central Scientific Ethical Committee and eight regional committees. All of the regional committees are composed of both laypeople and scientists. The ethical evaluation of scientific projects is performed by the regional committees. In May 2004, the good clinical practice (GCP) directive (EU Directive 2001/20/EC) will be implemented in Danish law. Patients will be assured of the same quality in trials irrespective of which industry or investigator is the sponsor.
