Sammanfattning
The prevalence of hypertension in the paediatric population is about 3%. Most cases are of secondary origin, usually renal. We report an unusual case of severe essential hypertension with hypertensive retinopathy in a 10-year-old boy. The article also discusses the causes of hypertension and evaluation of hypertension in children.
