Sammanfattning
This article presents a method for the instruction of health care staff in handling patient instruction courses. The focus is on putting basic theory into practice. The method can also be used in other change processes in practice.
The method is based on the SMTTE model, Illeris's model for teaching adults and working with log books.
By using the SMTTE model and jointly defining signs for the process and combing this with active logbook keeping in agreed circle processes, a learning space is created for individuals and the team. Individual staff become accustomed to applying health promotional theory in practice, and in the context of the team fellowship, the achieved knowledge forms the basis for the development of a common tool. The working tool will in future be used in patient instruction courses at the vascular surgery clinic of the South Jutland Hospital in Aabenraa.
