The main message of the article is that nurses should be aware of tracing elderly citizens with combined sight and hearing impairment. Dual sensory impairment entails an increased risk of falling, isolation, reduced quality of life and mental problems. The article contains five pieces of good advice for nurses who encounter elderly people in connection with their work and thus have the potential to act on dual sensory impairment.
